Randomness

Soooo… not much going on so not much to post. Which is FINE with us. After the madness that is party-palooza in December, January’s “boredom” is bliss.

We are still training for Myrtle Beach weekend. We might even be getting faster. Tonight we ran 9 miles in 93 minutes. I am usually a 12 min miler (and drag Paul down w me) so this was FAST for us! Plus it was about 30 degrees. ugh. Treadmill tomorrow–its supposed to be 12 in the morning. I did not move to NC for cold.

We have been watching lots of college hoops. Paul is having apoplexy over UNC’s performance lately. Can’t blame him. I don’t stay up past 8pm to watch them lose! :)

My goals? We have posted a fruit and veggie page. Check back often to see my progress. I am improving my eating habits slowly but surely thanks to Paul and his great cooking. I am attending the NC Women’s Conference in a couple weeks and very excited about that, especially as it relates to my search to be “well rounded” w/o trying to be Superwoman. I always did like Wonder Woman better anyway. I just know my goal for this week is to finally iron my khaki pants. Maybe tomorrow…

I was wondering when you were going to have a new post….

Yay for the fruits and vegetables page, I can’t wait to see your opinion on the different foods you try.

    crap, they’re all crap

  3. Paul says:

I have some other things I would say about how Carolina is playing right now but that may not be appropriate for here.

Don’t set you goals too high. You have only been talking about ironing those pants for about 2 months now. It’s good to set stretch goals but give yourself some time to get it done ;) .

  4. Susan says:

HA! You are too kind. I have been THINKING about ironing them for about 3 months before I started talking about it! They are DONE! Plus 8 shirts and a second pair of pants! YAY!

  5. Paul says:

Did you move all my stuff out of the closet to fit that in?

  6. Elli says:

Stay away from beets – they use them to clear the snow and ice off the roads here in Cincinnati. And, try Downy Wrinkle Releaser – you don’t have to iron your pants. Spray liberally, hang up during your getting ready time. Key point being hang them up, don’t leave them on the bed where a cat can nap on them.

  7. Paul says:

Since most places use salt to clear the roads and Susan likes salt so much does that mean she will also like beets?

LOVE the veggie post!!! I never met a veg I didn’t like. Susan, you gotta start eating lentils -they’re legumes/beans but they are awesome, cook fast, and you can put them in ANYTHING. We add them to chili, spaghetti sauce, whatever. Also, why are Yams not checked off?? That is the State Vegetable of North Carolina!!

  9. Susan says:

Are you SERIOUS about yams?! Please do not give Paul any more ammunition!!!!
