- Countless hours of rain (once we even had to turn the tent on its side to empty water to go back to bed),
- Paul sprained his ankle and tweaked a rotator cuff muscle (original thought was broken collar bone),
- Susan got bit in the butt by a crawdad,
- Bear proof bag eaten into by critters…twice (2nd time rendering food inedible).
So where does “successful trip” come in? Check out these pictures:

This is the river that Paul refilled our water w the filter and Susan got a crawdad bite in the booty.

One of the wild poines all over the State Park. This one was 1 of 4 that went through our 1st night's campsite.

Clouds rolling in after a couple hours of hiking on Day One. Everything pretty much stayed wet the whole time.

Did you bring Anna a pony. She would love it.
Hey, it does meet all of her requirements!!! You should have!!!
I pointed that out to Paul as well. His rebuttal was no, it did not. She wants a HORSE, not a PONY. We do plan to take them up for a day hike this fall though. She LOVED seeing the pictures.
