According to NC lore, so goes the woolly worm, goes the winter. I officially hate woolly worms and am glad Paul ran a bunch over. We are in for a VERY cold winter in NC.
But the kids had fun!

That is funny because my mom and I found 2 woolly worms underneath my porch and she told me the coloring on them meant we were in for a bad winter. I see the ones you saw said the same thing. I hope they are all wrong!
Hey, I also heard that if you find a frozen Woolly worm, it will be cold that day….Sounds like a reasonable prediction.
It could still thaw out during the day so it doesn’t mean the whole day will be cold.
