Monday, July 4th, 2011The kissing…the baby talk…the way their eyes follow each other around the room…the cuddling late into the morning on weekends–and some weekdays when I get up early to go workout… They think I don’t notice. How can I NOT notice? Its in my face all the time! So disrespectful–my husband and his other woman.
But then she will decide to go to bed early with me and cuddle up against my back, or she will get up early with me to go run. And it all makes sense!

Sunday, June 12th, 2011Paul was working in Crystal Reports– a report writing software program– today at work and it kept forcing him to register (which was insane for other reasons, but that is not what this post is about). One of the fields he had to populate was “job title.” Ironically, “Data Manager” was not one of the choices (also insane, but still not the topic of this post). So he searched until he found one he liked…

Our woman child
I don’t know why we were on the receiving end of this look, but I am sure it is not the last time we will see it or its kind. It is so crazy to see this grown up face coloring a kids menu; the same head that owns this wild hair (she randomly chooses not to brush it after the pool) also drinks from a plastic kids cup.
Are the tween years transitions for parents or for kids?
And she’s only 9.
