Monday, September 6th, 2010…do I need to be worried about the alien you have left in Paul’s place?
Not sure when you snatched Paul and left the substitute, but I just realized it last night when he took a side trip insisting on shopping for shoes in two different stores. I thought that was bad enough, but then we got home and he started reading. That is not the surprise, but when he was still reading 3 hours later…WHOA.
THAT is how I knew he was a droid of some sort. But will he still cook for me?
Hmmmmm—he did suggest going out for dinner last night, that was weird.
Uh oh….he also didn’t clean all morning yesterday while I was at triathlon practice!!!!!

Tuesday, January 27th, 2009I made a new page tonight (Monday), but Paul won’t make it go live until tomorrow so that you, our audience, will keep being entertained on a daily basis. I think that if that is the case, you should probably go rent a movie. Our life can’t be that fun, can it?

Nerd Poll
Tuesday, November 4th, 2008My sister told me today that if I was going to add a “nerd” tag to the post about marrying a nerd that I should also tag may post about Ubuntu with “nerd”. I did that but told her it wasn’t a nerd post. She said that I should create a poll to see what people think. Thursday, October 30th, 2008The newest version of Ubuntu (8.10, Intrepid Ibex) was released today. For those of you who don’t know Ubuntu is a great Linux distribution which is much nicer, has less crashes and has far less security risks than Windows. You can get it from here. It is completely free and all the programs (and there are thousands of them) are free so give it a try.
I know Susan will tell me I am a nerd for this but I couldn’t resist .

Susan's first day of middle school
I’m sitting here with Susan right now as she goes through her old school stuff and I have learned some interesting things. First, she likes to make fun of the North Carolina education system but I have just learned that she won a science fair after coming to a incorrect conclusion in her project. There are pictures from band camp, spelling bee awards, a participation certificate for a calculator tournament…the list just keeps going.
There was also the C+ she got in advanced chemistry, “her only C”. Although there was the year where she had not one but two P.E. classes. One of these P.E. classes was “officiating” where she became a licensed referee. As a high school basketball player I am sure this was very difficult for her.
By the way: This picture was from Susan’s first day of middle school where it was “VERY” important to pick a good outfit.
